... shows the screenshot of the meteor detection software MetRec. It offers the option of displaying, in one of the windows, a star chart with all meteors recorded during the night. Normally the meteors fly criss cross in all directions here. In a night like the Geminid maximum, however, the meteor chart is nicely ordered and shows that all meteors seem to originate from one point in the sky. Shown here are the meteors recorded by AVIS2 on the morning of 14 December 2006.
