... shows a meteor trail obtained with the SuprimeCam of the 8.2 m Subaru Telescope in August 2004. The meteor trail appears blurred because, with the telescope focused on the Andromeda Galaxy (the actual object the telescope was supposed to observe), objects in the Earth's atmosphere are already too close to the observer.
