... shows the meteorite from Oslo. The meteorite shown weighs 585g and crashed into the roof of a garden shed in an allotment garden in Oslo (Rodeløkka). The fall probably took place on 1 March 2012, when a bright, detonating fireball was observed over southern Norway at 20:39. The garden shed was not entered during the winter, so the damage was only noticed now. A second meteorite weighing about 700g was found in an Oslo park (Ekeberg) a few days after the find in the garden shed. According to first investigations, it is a chondrite.
