... shows the orbits of the asteroid 2012 DA14 and of the Chelyabinsk meteoroid. It is clearly visible that the orbits of the two objects are completely different. The parent body of the Chelyabinsk bolide could not have been discovered either, because its orbit came from the direction of the Sun and it therefore could not be detected optically from Earth before entering the Earth's atmosphere.
